I haven't been out and hence have seen little. The rains last week brought a flurry of sightings in Bastion 2 with Crested Larks and the occasional Hoopoe Lark taking advantage of fresh standing water. Masked Wagtails are now much in evidence and a Water Pipit flushed whilst out running was another additional species to my expanding Bastion list.

Two large flocks of Tree Sparrows have now taken up residence in Bastion 2; one around a sangar and the other at the back of the CSLR. Both flocks are upwards of 30 strong. Nothing much else to report. Christmas is coming and R&R will follow soon after the New Year. Please keep that Brown Shrike in Staines!
